Causality 07:34
i heard your voice crackle in the fire i felt your drums massage my mind i saw your story pass through stone to taste of water as it froze
2.
the bottom lip of night brushes against the sky plunges into sea pulls back the waves of oranges peeling pink ships tug at horizons peeling pink land locked tug of war the moon and the sea hide and seek beneath the vanishing stars
3.
Moon Fallout 09:32
my dreams of the moon swollen like fresh fruit in the rotting breeze frozen by the smoldering sea the ruins obscured by the symphony of stars crashing along the street i dreamt the moon fell from the sky lighting fires along the countryside in a moon heavy and red it's stains will fill our emptied eyes a chorus of car alarms buried underneath concrete we pick through the walls still held together by telephone wire i dreamt the moon fell from the sky lighting fires along the countryside

bricks and mortar bone to bone a staircase to launch arrows and tongues the bells right out and escort the sun down the tastes overlap with the sands of broken glass languages crash between ribs and columns of blood dislocated tongues trace fault lines to the sky the clouds entertain our desires to put form to time blood pulls at meridians veins in knots around our history collapsing walls of memory endlessly in entropy stacked in broken prisms carved from our etymology dance through eternity tumble down the spiral stairs into the dust of centuries hitching posts for the sun
6.
Hometime 03:03
7.
Hourglass 11:02
it's about time you opened up your hourglass and let me bury my head in the sand i followed your veins to the ocean where the tide buried it's head in the sand my blood was a foaming communion the colors in my head danced with waves the moon chased around the dust of the earth until it found it's way back to the stream i pressed my ears to the waves i heard your name
8.
Apophis 03:57

lips are wet with the taste of ash clouds are swollen we await their wrath the wind is cold bracing the leaves as the branches unfold accepting the water's drift anchored in stone memory wanders between collisions and dust the sky starts to break

about

Late night sessions took place into the dawn during the height of dark transformation: post 9/11 America. The process was fueled by AM Radio Coast to Coast broadcasts of scientific mysticism and tales of lost civilizations. The muted TV radiated a constant feed of
terror warnings, jingoisms, and escalations into war.

This is Dragon Turtle's evolutionary vision of history, a succession of natural degeneration and violent societal urges, destroying man's progress as histories are erased. Historical myth, once created, is
either forgotten, championed, or destroyed. Almanac examines man's destructive tendencies and documents the vision of change in man and his surroundings.

“Island of Broken Glass” takes its name from Robert Smithson's sculptural work, recanting destruction and violence inherent in the relationships between nature and man. The lyrics from this song also inspired the cover of the album, a spiraling double helix /DNA strand made of burning books.
